Without going into too much detail, I'm the founder of a small Creative Studio based in NYC and we've started working on our first in-house android project. This is a tablet application that will be installed as standalone software on a custom built Android tablet. We would need the developer to sign an NDA in order to give more details on the project, but here are the basics so far. I'm also an Android engineer myself, I will also be working on this project. We need 1 other developer to join in the development to complete the following features. The project is is in a private repo on BitBucket, and we just need 1 other experienced develop to join in the fun :) 1) Recipe search. Right now we have a few recipe APIs that we are using to pull recipe data such as BigOven, Yummly, etc. We need to add a few more sources so that our searches are as robust as possible. 2) Voice commands. We are currently using Google's Speech Recognition APIs to listen to basic search keywords and execute recipe searches based on the words the users speaks. I have built the basic functionality of this but it still needs some work. 3) Barcode scanning. Currently, I am using the Zxing Android library for barcode scanning and UPC code recognition. There is some custom work that will need to be done to this library in order to make it work for our purposes, but I can only dispose more info once the NDA has been signed. 4) Database/persistent storage API design. I have not set up any local storage or database logic set up as yet. We would need to work together to design the database/storage portion of the application.
