I have an Inventory database which has about 10 simple tables (Locations, Warehouses, Categories, Products, Items, Suppliers, Units, Currencies, SoldItems, Received Items etc...). Each table has 5-10 columns. I want to access this inventory completely over a REST API. So i want to have all resources ready to manipulate the inventory. Approx. each table will have Add/Del/Get/Update functions so totally about 40 resources. There is no UI or any business app. Just a MySQL backend and API to manipulate it. API should have an Auth mechanism. Please return with your blog, articles, github account, or anything else you do public.

Hey I have great experience in django starting from version 0.96 till most recent 1.8. For application as you have described it I suggest using django-rest-framework as basic api, cause this package has good features and it is maintained to support all django versions. I do have few questions: What django / python version you plan to use? Where will the application be hosted? in the could or on server you maintain? Tu run the api I suggest using the apache server.
