Do some Blog Posting

First, I am not very familiar with web design or site operation. I have for the last year been using a simple domain/site provider by Vistaprint, webs.com. Recently they blocked my entire blog without warning and I came to become much more familiar with their user license agreement and the broadly applicable nature of it in regards to pretty much every bit of content I had on my site. (I perform comedy and discuss hot button issues) Needless to say I need a more reliable site that I have more control over, and preferably somebody who believes in working as a team to help advance the ideas of freedom and equality and making the world a better place. I prefer this not to be so much a business relationship but more an activist oriented team effort. I currently live in the Nashville area. The closer you are the better, though this is not a requirement. As far as the site goes, I prefer to have something very similar to what I had, a very simple layout with a blog I am able to update regularly myself if possible. I don't want this to be a lot of work, just a simple platform that looks professional. All of the layout is negotiable. My prior site just had 4 pages with pretty much no scrolling on any of the pages except the blog. I prefer it that way, a simple and easily navigable site without any clutter and confusion. The site had a home page with a video of my stand-up comedy act and my twitter feed, a second page for people to contact me when needed, a third page, "about me," with a short description of myself and the last page my blog.
