Illustrationist wanted for a story book used to increase cognitive thinking. It will be put on the Internet as a series of podcasts. The story involves a magical freight train with each car representing a different mind function. Will need the illustrations to show to entire train "in motion", as well as each individual train car containing its name and brief description within the illustration.
I am Dr. Marty Lerman. I own a mental health practice in Kingwood, Texas, just northeast of Houston and have been in practice for 32 years. I am a psychotherapist and trainer, specializing in hypnotherapy. My first book, Mindshift: your life doesn't have to suck, was a traditional hard & soft cover book, published in '13. It was written for adults showing how people learned how to expand conscious awareness into the unconscious mind to achieve amazing results.
"The Train" is a metaphor story told on a child level of a 9 year old. It's applicability extends throughout adolescence and adulthood. From the engine which represents our awakened brain, connected to its fuel source of external stimpulation, which we identify as our sensory perception car, all the way through to the train's end which is how we behave in response to the stimulation; there are steps, i.e. cars the brain experiences. The language is at a 3rd to 4th grade level.
