Design and Programming Work

Hello, I am looking for ways to improve my website. I want to improve the DESIGN and FUNCTIONALITY. It needs to be more attractive so people will be excited about being on the sight and will return at a later date to view/share more thoughts. Also the functionality needs to improve Right now, when a person submits it goes to a database but we get the information from the database and manually create each page. This needs to be automated. And when there are "followup" comments to an original post, I want the followups to fall in place right below wherever they clicked the "reply" button. My thoughts are on adding graphics, capability to upload videos, subscribe to get emails if a reply is submitted on a certain subject, follow certain commenter to see what else they write about, etc. Take a look and send me some feedback. Prefer html5, css, php, MySQL. You will need to be specific with your ideas or what you can do. I do not want replies such as "I can do it for you". I am so open to good ideas for this site and willing to pay you for the work.
