Design a Chinese Character Educational Poster

I am looking to create a chart that my students can hang on their wall to help them learn Chinese Characters. There are 617 characters that they need to learn, and I would like it to fit on a 20" x 30" poster which I will get printed. Each Character will need to have the Character itself as the main part of the block, but also contain the Roman letters explaining how to say it, and a number so that we can say "look at character 314", not have to have them search through to find it.

Here are some examples: 1. 八 bā, 2. 我 wǒ.

There should also be a Title and Subtitle at the top saying "Complete Chinese Character List" and "Mandarin House" respectively. In the top-right corner we wish to put our school's logo, but for now just put capital MH as a placeholder.

Finally, at the bottom there should be a space to put our website URL.

The two aspects that I am most concerned about (and why I'm willing to pay to have someone else do this) are:

a. Balancing fitting everything onto one poster, while still having the characters nicely spaced and visible without looking cluttered.

b. Making the poster pleasing to the eye when hung on a wall, without distracting the students from seeing the content on the poster. I don't want it to just be a simple white sheet with text on it, but don't know how to make it more interesting without making it harder to see.

I have attached an image showing some example characters displayed in a basic grid format. This is the kind of boring layout that I am trying to avoid. It also lacks the Roman letters and numbers that I mentioned above.

Please note that at this stage I am just looking for a poster with placeholder text and characters. The proof of concept for the design is what I'm looking for at the moment. If you need additional information or images, please message me.
