Dont be fooled by someone who says this is a quick job. You will end up with a low quality item if you put straight into a compressor. I would transcode the video in Final Cut Pro to get the best possible picture before I down scale the size. Could I ask where the video will be used? 6 years of experience working with clients including, BBC, Sky. Atlantic, ITV, tiger Aspect and Mentorn tv.
