We created a start-up company named Coat-X. [login to view URL] The target of the company is the fabrication and development of ultra-tight thin-film coatings for the protection against humidity and corrosion. This coating can be applied on implantable medical devices, for example on the electronic of cardiac pacemaker. Other fields of application are the protection of aerospace or automotive industry electronics. Using this technology, ultra-flexible printed circuit boards can be fabricated by integrating electric conductors into the multilayer.
