Build a News Aggregation Website allowing comments from readers (geopoliticalnews). I am seeking a new Website that takes RSS feeds from a number of international news agencies and publishes the headline and first sentence or two (summary) on the home page. Viewers would click through to the original story but not leave the our primary Website. Viewers could publish comments on each story on our primary Site. After 48 hours, the new story (headline and summary) would be stored in a different (e.g. archive) section of the Site. So, only RSS-feed stories from the past 48 hours would be shown on the home page. I also need a simple logo created from an advanced concept that I can provide (logo concept is attached).
I would like the ability for a map to be generated automatically (e.g. google maps?) from stories where they mention a city, state, or country - showing the relevant location for each specific article (if the article mentions a city/state/country).
I would need the ability to include a feature article/statement/advertisement on the front page near the top - that I can edit easily (add, replace, delete etc).
I need an ability to capture e-mail addresses of readers who wish to register to receive major news alerts from the Site. e.g. “enter your email address here to receive major news alerts from [The Site]”.
PAGES:
The Home page would contain all of the headlines and summaries of the news stories received from the RSS feeds.
The About page would have a short paragraph about the aims and objectives of the Site, where it sources its stories, and why it was established. This would also contain contact details by way of an email address.
A World Map page - containing a good quality map of the world.
A Tools and Related Links page - containing links to other sites of interest and helpful resources.
A Sponsors page - with the ability to add/subtract the names of sponsors, their logos, and hyperlinks to sponsor’s websites.
I will also need e-mail accounts (using the domain name) established for a number of e-mail accounts (about five) - and each of those addresses should point to my current e-mail address.
