Brainstorm/Create a new group logo/identity after the merger of two companies

We are a SME in the construction wholesaling business. We just acquired a big competitor. As of now the two companies are still using different names and logos. Now we need to merge the old logos and names. Some details about the companies: 1. Old Company - one name for all locations: Fretthold, name is also the core brand with a long tradition!; CI/CD colours: white and red ; logo: yellow yardstick ; trucks: white and red - [login to view URL] 2. Acquired Company - one main brand: die baustoffpartner ; names of previous (founding) companies are still in the logo: bussemas, pollmeier & zierenberg; CI/CD colours: silver/grey ; logo: three roofs in red, yellow and blue (symbol for the three founding companies), Trucks: silver - [login to view URL] Goal: - use a combination of core brand and the name of the individual location/branch 1. "Die Baustoffpartner" is the core brand/overall name for the group for every location 2. the traditional name for the different locations: Bussemas, Pollmeier, Zierenberg, Fretthold - use one CD/CI for all locations/ for the whole group Taks: - derive two versions for the group logo 1. one coming from the yard stick 2. the other coming from the roof logo - don't deviate too much from the original logos - don't use too many colours or colours that have not been there before - try to stay simple - come up with different versions of the CD/CI for the group
