Hello, there!
I'm looking for some help building a simple professional website. I currently have a [login to view URL] blog where I blog about professional exploits for my family and friends (I'm a research scientist who travels a lot for work). I recently purchased a godaddy domain name, but realized I'm not sure how to proceed. I want to hire someone to do the following:
1) Build a professional landing page that looks clean and neato. I will be looking for jobs within the next year and would like to have an easy to find web presence that can move with me as I switch institutions. It would have a few sub-pages: about me/CV, research portfolio, etc. Nothing too fancy. My [login to view URL] site has a lot of this content already as tabs of the blog, it's just not well designed or anything.
2) I'd like that site to be associated with the domain name I already bought.
3) I'd like that site to have my semi-professional blog as one of its tabs/sub-pages. I suppose what I really want is these somewhat disparate efforts (blogging irreverently about science and google-able landing page) to get brought together into one place. Again, nothing too fancy necessary.
4) I would be maintaining this in the future, so nothing too fancy that I will likely mess up later.
