Design a Logo

This logo design request is primarily for an existing company, that is well established and provides ski and snowboard rental during the winter months and bike rental during the summer months in Chatel, France. The image the logo should portray is "great service", "quality products" but at the same time be appealing to the widest possible audience. We would like the following wording "Vertical Ski and Bike" followed by "broaden your Horizons" (perhaps the words "Vertical" and "Horizons" in the same font to link with the name above the shop, but this is not a necessity. We would also like to see an example with the wording "Chatel" and possibly "Portes du Soleil" but these can be in a smaller font and underneath the main logo. It may be too "wordy" with the Chatel etc so useful to see both options. As an option the background could be a mountain/alpine theme and reflect both summer and winter seasons but we are keen to stay away from anything that might be taken as 'outdated icon type design'. Ideally and background/negative space would be minimal or abstract. The second smaller logo in blue is very old and there is no intention to hold onto that at all. We would love to see any initial design ideas that you might have so that we are able to find the freelancer most suitable for the project.
