Convert/update Adobe Illustrator 10 logo to CS3 (Windows)

To make a long story short, we have a logo made with Adobe Illustrator 10. The logo uses Pantone Process Coated colors.
Our problem is that when we open the EPS file in Illustrator CS, CS2 or CS3, the colors are not right even if the Pantone codes have the same codes across versions.
The logo is pretty simple. Wolf head and letters with a gradient inside them.
We want to "upgrade" the file to CS3 without any color change, and still using Pantone Process Coated colors.
After the upgrade, some minimal changes must be made to the logo (put some area transparent or opaque, and sharpen or round some edges). These changes should take only a few minutes.
The project should not cost more than US$40 to do since it's a matter of minutes to fix for an experienced designer... We will pay with PayPal once all is delivered and OK.
