LEAD@XXXX Program (Leadership Empowerment And Development)
In an effort to enhance XXXX’s leadership capabilities, the HR department - sponsored by the Governor and the Deputy Governor of Administration - are pleased to announce the launch of the LEAD@XXXX Program. The purpose of the program is to identify individuals with leadership potential and to develop them to become XXXX’s future leaders.
Being an effective leader is more than being the boss. It requires the ability to set a vision, communicate it effectively, and set the example to engage and motivate team members to work towards common goals.
Objectives of the Program:
· To identify and select candidates to be the future leaders of XXXX in the medium and long term
· To empower and further develop the skills and capabilities of selected candidates to fast-track their readiness for effective placement in managerial and leadership roles
Pre-qualifications:
· The LEAD@XXXX Program targets candidates meeting the following criteria:
1. Section heads and non-managerial staff (division managers and above will qualify to Leadership Development programs to be announced in the near future)
2. Full-time employees with at least a year of tenure at XXXX
3. Minimum education level of a Bachelor Degree
Identification of Future Leaders:
· The identification of program participants will take place through several channels and sources:
1. Managers and peers: nomination of up to 5 candidates each
2. Self-nomination
3. HR: through the analysis of performance reports, evaluation of scholarships, awards, etc.
· Successful nominators will be publicly recognized by the Governor himself in a launch event and through communication messages to the whole of XXXX
Selection of Future Leaders:
· After an initial screening/filtering from HR to ensure nominees meet the stated criteria, the short-listed candidates will be evaluated through an Assessment Center (psychometric tests, case studies, team dynamics, etc.) before final decisions are recommended to top management
Development and Placement of Future Leaders:
· The LEAD@XXXX Program will develop leadership and managerial skills of selected candidates through a tailored combination of the following:
1. Rotational around XXXX’s departments
2. Mentoring, coaching and networking
3. International secondment in peer institutions
4. Coursework and on-the-job-training
· The 18 months development program will be divided into three stages of 6 months each. Participants that are successful in the first stage will be offered an international secondment in sister institutions (e.g. World Bank, the Fed, Bank of England) and the best training programs in the KSA and abroad.
· Successful participants of the LEAD@XXXX Program will be offered fast-track advancement opportunities within XXXX
