Hello, I'd like to help you on this. I understand the requirement is to login to a password-protected website and dump data from one (or more) of its pages into an existing excel template every Sunday night. My proposed approach is to create a .net application that will connect to the site and log in with the credentials specified in its config file, then do the necessary screen-scraping to extract the data required and populate the template. The template will be copied at every run and the copy renamed having the current date and time so its unique and we can see when it was generated from the filename itself. The application can be a standalone windows forms/console application that you can schedule, using Windows Scheduler to run at the interval(s) you require; what it needs to do remains constant and I understand the exact same data set needs to be exported time-to-time. Please PM me with the site / credentials if required so I can take a look at it and see the HTML formatting etc - which I need to know to be able to gurantee a timely and correct delivery (have to know if its formatted ok so that I can screen-scrape it properly). Please also attach/send me a copy of the excel template and confirm the excel version you have - the sw will need it to run. HI, 1) send me the url on which website you want to fetch the data? 2) What data we need to fetch there? 3) Is there we need to any further process with the excel file ? To repeat this process we can schedule the same in windows scheduler, We will develop the website scrapper for you and schedule it for automated process in windows scheduler. Please advise. This is a fairly common request. It can be done pretty quickly, and usually without any hassle or complications. I've been doing this sort of thing for 20 years now. All you have to do is accept the proposal, get me the details of where the data is, and the excel template you want it in (also, indicate which version of Excel you'd prefer I use. I have access to all versions except Office 365 currently).
