Hi All
I would like someone to design some hardware and write the code for small Arduino based GPS, 3D compass logger (on to SD card). The device also needs to act as a trigger (and intervalometer) for a camera.
The device will be attached to a camera. Every 5 seconds it will trigger the camera (close a connection for 0.5 sec) as it records onto an SD card the following values from the GPS and 3D compass.
* Latitude
* Longitude
* Altitude
* time
* bearing
* pitch
* roll
* Any extra data a bonus
The idea is that I can use the data stored on the SD card to then geotag the images on the camera with location, and viewing bearing, pitch and roll.
A few more restrictions on this bit of hardware.
* it needs to run on ~3.7V
* it also needs to have a footprint smaller then 45mm by 85mm (12mm high).
No need for a casing.
The UI is negotiable. The only thing I need is to be able to start and stop it and know if it is running. Any extra UI a bonus.
Please include in your bid the cost of postage and materials to post the final working hardware to me in Australia.
Feel free to use OpenSource, as this hardware will be part of a larger opensource project.
Thanks
Matt :)
