Took me only a couple of hours, but yours is more complicated and I estimate between 2 weeks and a month to finish it. I can help you choose a controller for the motors. I can even interface one of the non-arduino-specific controller, but I think some Arduino motor shield would be best. I can do the Arduino and PHP software to complete your project. Hi, Let me clarify and give some suggestion. 1. What interface are you planning to use? a.) Is it through USB? Then its better to use node.js and javacript because it has low level and realtime support. You dont need an embedded server, this will allow you to save cost. b.)Ethernet/Wifi Then you will need an embedded webserver, which will require you to buy an ethernet\wifi shield. In here you can use php/python. I don't know anything about php..:) Also if you Php is a high level language it can't directly talk to the USB port to send command to arduino. It has to use a server and other modules, but I'm not familiar with this so I can't discuss futher. But if we use nodejs(setup in pc) and javascript it will be quite easier since nodejs has built-in support for hardware interface to arduino(USB serial). Hello there, I have a lot of experience with Arduino, have worked with steppers before and have even put together my own hardware to control steppers. I can do this task and I can also debug it before sending it to you, as I already own many steppers to test this code on. It will be necessary to use a dedicated stepper motor driver, since those motors you are using are way too big and need too much current for chips such as a classic L293D, which you can find for instance on Arduino motor shield. There are some off-the-shelf solutions available for 3 motor drive, used for CNCs and 3D printers. I am sure we could look into it and find a nice and cheap one. I have worked on Arduino and interfacing of Stepper Motor with Arduino. I think I can develope the system as per your requirement. To possible Stepper Motor driver are L293/ULN2003 based upon the type of the stepper motor (whether unipolar/bipolar). Communication with the PC (PHP Code) can be either in UART/RS232 or via USB. Consider me for the development and I'll finish the work within the time frame.
