Analyze some Data

Hi: Here's my understanding of your project: First, you want to create a list of fuel service stations in Australia. You want to capture the following fields: Service Station Brand, Fuel type available, Service station GPS coordinates, Distance (s) from nearest major road or highway(S), Current fuel price if available, Opening hours. Secondly, you want to overlay the location of the stations on a Google Map. Please let me know if my understanding is not aligned with your objective. Additionally, I would like to highlight that fuel prices at each station might be little hard to get. Regarding my previous experience, I have made a heat map of business in Sydney for a client. I collected the data on number of business in each suburb of Sydney, generated a heat map and overlay-ed it on Google map. Please connect with me to discuss more.

Hi "Data will be stored in a google spreadsheet and will be automatically updated. Positional data must be also overlaid onto a google map or similar." automatically updated - do you mean "automatically updated" from internet. This is posible, but you need separate program/application to update data base. I do not understand what is "google spreadsheet". I understand how to perform such a task. But I do not understand how to do it exactly using methods which you proposed. If you generally satisfied with the price, please reply. I will prepare a more detailed proposal based on our capabilities.
