I am a Cyber Security student seeking a Computer Forensics expert that can tutor me in filesystem analysis (FAT, NTFS, ext4) in a simple, easy to understand way. I need to be able to fix a corrupt image file (i.e. .dd, .E0l) and recover the data files without using automated tools like FTK and encase. My teacher wants us to do it manually with tools like hex editor. Tasks I need to be able to do: -fix corrupt image (i.e. .dd, .E01) -recover (carve) files -determine possible original file name -determine allocation status (deleted or not) -determine file system timestamps (created, modified) -determine file size and location (starting cluster, starting logical sector)
