I need a program which can take a CAD design (Computer-Aided Design) and be able to estimate the cost to make the part. The program would have to be able to take different CAD files, and then figure out the parts dimensions, volume, ect, and by variables added to it figure out how much the part costs. For example I enter in a Gear design and the system takes the dimensions of the gear, and estimates how much it would cost to make the part, concidering how much material goes into the part, etc. This project requires experience programmers, and is open for discussion, and more details. Hello there, I think u r looking for a Quantity Take off software. We have to make use of AutoCAD Data file. Again, the accuracy of derived quantity varies depending on the standardisation of dwg. We have done a project for a company who is a manufaturer of tower internals for refineries. The applications accepts different standard inputs and generates drawings script (for AutoCAD), generates part list in excel format and also gives costing of each part using formulaes and considering differnt material, various parameters like thickness, density, height, length, width etc. The application is developed using using .NET C# and MS SQL 2000. Hi, I am interested to do structural drawings for you. I having 10 years experience in Structurals and piping. If u want I can do it in PDMS and convert into AutoCad or directly in AutoCAD also. Also if required i can give u drawings in 2D and 3D also which will be normally error free for fabrication. And I can give you bill of materials in Excel.
