The proposed system: E-commerce is a web-based system that will consist of two-user level: • Administrator Level • Customer user level The information classification will be intended to meet managerial and customer need. The management information system as an online-based system will make information available to users with similar need what they search online or looking up item and suggest them allied to search items. We will implement a system that can be used to accelerate service to customers, better and safe archival of customer information, and make information retrieval easier what they search for. This will acknowledge timely access to company and keeping up to date with recent development from side to side admin level that expand customer fulfillment and process transaction securely. Project Objective: The crucial object of this project to develop an online e-commerce system that will ease the following at Electronic Gadget Shop. • Customer The web-based portal allow customer to search item and buy it through secure payment of their choice. • Administrator The web-based portal allows an admin to add, search, modify and delete any items. • Finance Department The web-based portal shall aid the account to record received payments. • Fleet Inspection Department This shall allow customers feedback and report any item returned to repair. • Dispatch Department This will be facilitating the dispatch the items once received the payment and keep record of delivery items. Development tools In the development phase of the E-commerce portal the following tools and resources will be used: • Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 -This is a website and web programming platform that provides the platform for development of web based systems • Microsoft Office 2013 (Documentation) • Xamp Server – An apache server that serves as a testing server on the local computer. It consists of the following components that will be used in project implementation. • Development Languages and Styles o PHP (server side scripting language) or AJAX o JavaScript and JQuery o HTML and CSS o MySQL- for querying the database
