I am a passionate journalist, a successful professor by accident and a freelance writer by desire. I made my humble beginnings as a cub reporter for an evening newspaper 32 years back. After one year into journalism, I shifted my base from the street to the editing desk. Continuously for 20 years I worked in various English-language newspapers in India, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Then I switched professions and went into teaching at the University-level. After eight and a half years of professorship in media studies, I returned to print media and worked in a senior position in a newspaper for two years. Finally, in 2013 I decided to freelance as well as work for a news portal. Throughout my career I had been associated with issues like development, economy, agriculture, governance, information technology, media studies, health and history. I have travelled extensively across India. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Political Science and Public Administration and a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism. I live in the city of Hyderabad, which is located in the South of India.
