Ok, so it says here "What makes you the best candidate for this job?" Apart from having watched all seasons of Top Gear, I suppose being a TV and film geek with a proclivity for the written word would count as qualifications. I'm maybe slightly addicted to anything Japanese/animated/colourful and the Internet, and did I mention I also wear T-shirts? Seems like that could be important for a T-shirt-based website.
On a more serious note, I'm capable of writing accurate, well-researched articles that engage the reader and hopefully make them smile to boot. Regarding the short CV you requested, there's not much recent stuff to go on. I've been working as a chef for a few years and this is my first foray back into freelance writing, but before that I was an independent film reviewer for Savoy Cinemas in the UK. I also did some run-of-the-mill stuff, writing up recipe books, proof-reading and editing etc.
I feel I'm rambling away now, so I'm going to finish up with my five headline ideas for blog posts (drum roll please): 1.) Please don't judge me for hating Ewoks. 2.) Why Garth Ennis' "Preacher" should be made into a TV show. 3.) It won't be long before they remake Flash Gordon... 4.)Post 9/11: The rise of the Superhero genre. 5.) Goodbye Middle-Earth, we shall miss you.
Cheers guys, hope to hear from you soon!
