We understand that we have to create an app that will scan fingerprint and match with the database and if successful match found log in the user using webservice. We will have to use Android SDK for u.are.u 5160 fingerprint scanner that will be connected to the Android device using micro USB port. We have checked that DigitalPersona SDKs offer a full range of capabilities, including image capture, template extraction, template matching, identification, data encryption and more. They support the most used platforms and language interfaces and adhere to prevailing image, data and compression standards. There will be one screen to enroll the fingerprint that will scan 2 fingers 4 times for each hand. Fingerprint scanner gives us the result in bytes array and we will send it via webservice by converting it into a base64 string. The webservice then match with its existing database and send us the logged in session if success. We will create a section to enter the finger print also. It will be a multistep form to scan fingers and there will be some verification so that we can make sure that only 2 fingers are scanned. After scanning we will send the data to the webservice to store. We also understand that there will be a list screen from where admin can edit the already saved listing. Please provide us the developer manual so that we can make sure how we need to integrate this SDK.
