Choose a company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange. The company should have a sustainability report and should have provided an assurance statement for the report. You are expected to do the following: i: Considering different engagement techniques that your chosen company is employing, critically evaluate the usefulness of these techniques in discharging the company’s social and environmental accountability to society. Students are expected to comment on different engagement techniques that companies can use and then comment on the assurance statement that their chosen company has used. They are expected to evaluate whether their chosen company could have chosen better techniques etc. ii: Discuss how your chosen company has assured its sustainability/social reports. Critically examine the quality of the assurance provision. There is no word limit for this part. However, you are expected to present a succinct and to-the-point report, highlighting the key issues. In your report, you are expected to adopt a critical evaluation of the techniques your company has adopted (for part i) and the assurance they have provided (part ii).
