Clean Up Dynamic Feature on my website

Hello, my website is ezstreetsigns.com. The feature that allows my customer to create custom signs seems to be a bit rough. Not very clear when the letters are typed in by the customer. My webmaster seems to think that is the best it can be but I have seen many other sites that have avery clear customizable graphics.. Requirements 1. the customer must be able to see the letters appear on the sign(image) as they type. I do not want them to have to refresh the screen. 2. I would like to use the Highway E font, or Roadgeek E font, but my webmaster says that it is not working the letters all uneven. 3. Work cannot mess with the functionality of the site unless it makes it better.
