Contrary to the title, most viewers don't really want to know everything "about" the company whose website they are visiting. And, a viewer's attention span for the "about" page is notoriously brief. The purpose of the "about" page is to set the tone, explain the company's origins, and let the reader know just enough to be intrigued and/or impressed.
