<Technology Description>
This is a technology to enhance the convenience of remote monitoring for an autonomous traveling vehicle by a remote operator.
When a remote operator remotely assists the operation of an autonomous traveling vehicle, there is a problem that the remote operator is difficult to grasp the vehicle width interval of the autonomous traveling vehicle. As a countermeasure against this problem, it is effective to provide an overhead around-view to the remote operator. However, providing multiple displays at once can cause confusion for remote operators.
In order to solve such a problem, the system executes image generation processing for generating an around-view of the vehicle by processing the data of a plurality of sensors mounted on the autonomous traveling vehicle, calculates the lane width of the lane traveled by the vehicle based on the map information, and when the vehicle width ratio of the vehicle with respect to the lane width is greater than a threshold, provides the around-view generated by the image generation processing to the remote monitoring terminal that is referred to by the remote operator.
