NASA CHALLENGE: XMIPT Graphic Design

We are looking for a logo design that incorporates “XMIPT” and portrays the exploration medical theme of a long duration Mars and lunar medical system. The goal of this challenge is to develop a team graphic that represents the XMIPT’s focus on a long duration to Mars (main focus) and lunar medical system. The graphic will be used for presentations, websites, and emails. Furthermore, for public outreach and education, the graphic will be made into stickers, badges, and other items. TEAM BACKGROUND The Exploration Medical Integrated Product Team (XMIPT) focuses on identifying gaps in medical capabilities for exploration missions, detailing a roadmap for closing those gaps, and developing technologies to be able to be used operationally in the spaceflight environment. Areas of focus include medical imaging; diagnostics; treatment technology; medical decision support and informatics; medical simulation; safe and effective pharmaceuticals; behavioral health and performance; and medical risk modeling and trade space analysis. REQUIREMENTS Deliver an XMIPT logo design in both a color and black/white version based on the following requirements: 1.1. Color palette: Feel free to use any color palette, however it is limited to only using a maximum of 6 colors and all colors used must be identified. 1.2. Do not use gradients or other special effects, as they are difficult to reproduce across all media. 2.1. Source File Requirements: For initial submission to the contest, since only PDF/JPG/JPEG/GIF is allowed, feel free to submit any of these files, preferably PDF as you can also write text explaining what you did in PDF. However, during an actual handover we will provide you a folder to upload the required files. Please review explanation below on what files we require (pack them all in ZIP for ease): All original vector source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. Note that PSDs saved as EPS files are not true vector/scalable files and will not be accepted. 2.2. All fonts must be listed in a text file within your Submission Zip file. Include the name of the font and a link to where it can be downloaded/purchased. DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files. 2.2.1. All text in the graphic should be converted to outlines. 2.2.2 Submissions should also include a 1024x1024 version of the graphic in JPG or PNG in RGB color mode at 72 dpi (on both a black background and a white background). 2.2.3 The NASA insignia or other NASA logos cannot be used as any part of the submissions. 2.3. Stock Imagery Requirements: Stock imagery will not be allowed, all elements of the graphics must be of original design. 2.4 The work should be original and no AI software (such as Midjourney, Dalle2, etc.) should be used in creating the log
