We are a surf shop looking for very talented and CREATIVE graphic designers/artists to design a vinyl truck wrap for our 16-foot box truck to be used as storage for our surf lesson program.

STYLE:

We would like the graphic to follow the style of famous "surf artist", Drew Brophy. Attached you will find a zipped folder called "DREW BROPHY STYLE". In it you will find several images that depict the look we are going for. Also, every file title will point to our favorite elements of each image. For example, one image is titled "Smile Sun, Fish, Starfish, Tiki Gods". In the graphic you create, you can incorporate a variation of these elements.

INCORPORATION OF LOCAL ELEMENTS:

We provide surf lessons in Narragansett, Rhode Island (specifically at Narragansett Town Beach), as such the graphics need to incorporate our local coastline including monuments/landmarks as well as the shape of our beach/neighborhood. Being a surf shop, we need the graphic to be heavily surf and ocean oriented.

Items to Incorporate (See attached zip "INCORPORATE")

- General shape of the beach, seawall, and area. The area where surfing is permitted is in the right corner of the beach closest to the towers. Further to the left, surfing is NOT allowed. The lifeguards place a flag each day during the summer indicating swimmers only. We would like to include multiple waves breaking along the seawall by the towers and towards the center of the beach.

- Narragansett Towers! (Just up the road from the beach) The Towers is the most iconic structure in Narragansett. Include fountain outside the towers.

- Rock patch in the water between the Towers and the beach.

- Narragansett seawall, including the bend as you go from the beach to the Towers. Incorporate people sitting on the seawall.

- The Benches/park on the opposite side of the wall from the beach (including sculpture)

- Submerged metal Barge – located under the water in the middle of the beach. Creates a wave peak at the surface. Home to striped bass and Tautog. Perhaps incorporate someone diving/spearfishing? Barge is covered with seaweed – see video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvH5yVQNwys.

- Pilings that appear on the beach at low tide at edge of water

- Wooden fence along edges of dune

- The Indian head sculpture

- Lifeguard chair 1 - will need to change the number from 2 to 1

- Lifeguard rescue boat

- Our surf shop name: Warm Winds

THE TRUCK:

Images of the truck where the graphics will be applied can be found in the following zipped folders: "IMAGES + DIMENSIONS" (which you can use for scale), "ORIGINAL TRUCK IMAGES 1" / "ORIGINAL TRUCK IMAGES 2"(to use to mock up installation) and "TRUCK IMAGES @ LOCATION" (so you can see where it will be parked in relation to other landmarks such as the Towers).

GRAPHIC REQUIREMENTS:

Designs should be submitted as they would appear on the truck. Please see image called "Concept" for a rough layout of how the graphics should appear on the truck. Vector format preferred. Any rasterized elements should be large enough to scale up to the necessary sizes. All sides of the truck should be wrapped and ALL yellow and grey METAL corners / trim should be covered. Any localized elements should be kept away from edges and corners. The vinyl will shrink around corners and will be more difficult to install and likely distort.
