I'm looking to have 2 logos design created for a new website.

About the Business:

> The name of the Business is Ferral (The word "Feral" but with "2 R's")
> Definition of the word Feral: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/feral
> It is a Fitness/Strongman/Bodybuilder website.
> The slogan is in the works, but it will be something along the lines of "release the beast" (it doesn't need to be included in the logo. It is just for inspiration)
> One will be the main logo and the other a secondary logo for the Chinese market
> The chosen designer will be able to do further work for this company in the future
> We will later require logo designs for T-shirts, etc.
> And also for some business cards/letterheads, etc
> There could be more work from parent/partner companies
> The logos are for the site but will eventually be used for gadgets and clothing; mostly sports clothes but possibly for other "regular" clothing. Such as Jeans for Bodybuilders.
> Eventually There will be different segments to the products, such as Ferral Fitness/Ferral Bodybuilding/Ferral Strongman

Requirements:

> Colours: Red and Black as the main colours (Yellow is optional and might also be used, but not as strong as the other colours.)
> Transparent background version also required.

OBS. The secondary logo for the Chinese market should in some way include this radical (a chinese Character):

It could for example be inserted in the word Ferral in some way. They don't have to be next to each other.

Notes:
> Quality is important. It should be instantly recognisable, and something that can be used across different mediums; not only for the site but eventually on products. Like Nike does with the swoosh logo.

> A symbol/image fused with the name would probably work better than just a text with a drawing separate from it like fishbone, one, up, spartan, and some others you can see on the website above.

I am hoping however for a logo that looks like a good blend between the bodybuilding world and a more professional clothing brand, as we will not only sell bodybuilder stuff, but also regular clothing. I still feel the animal side of things is more the way to go with gustavosaffo and huelevel on the right direction.

Ok, So far we seem to be going in the right direction. I particularly like huelevel's idea of the bodybuilder/tiger concept and the clawed out text. It would work well for some t-shirts designs I have in mind, along the lines of lonsdale/everlast/gold's gym feel. Bestlion entry is also very interesting, with the warrior concept and the modern font. Again, I like the idea for some clothing designs, and will be contacting these designers separately for some further work.

Ultimately the choice is yours, but when it came to designing a logo for my own clothing brand years prior, I found it best to keep things simple. If your logo is too hard for someone to sketch off the top of their head, then it's going to be hard for it to be instantly recognizable. Just my two cents.

So far huelevel had an interesting concept with the bodybuilder/tiger drawing and elisabethrp11 and Kulsumaktar11 with the wild animals. Quite interesting, but not quite there yet. I'd like to see them incorporated into the name more, instead of just a nice font with a drawing next to it. I am looking for something I cannot do myself. I particularly liked the fishbone, one, up, spartan, and some other logos you can see there.

Some interesting entries there. I am hoping to move away from the text only, and incorporate the drawing into the text, to make it instantly recognisable.
