I am looking for an annotator to help me label job categories of roles. You will be provided with a CSV that contains roles for a Technology company, and has the current title (JOBTITLE) of the position, and the prior positions that the individual has held throughout their career. You are to use the descriptions below to determine which value between REFINED_JOB_CATEGORY or JOB_CATEGORY_INTERNAL is the most correct based on the current job title, the context of the prior jobs the individual has held, and the descriptions below. You will write either "Original", "Refined", or "Neither" in column G of the CSV file, noting which value you feel is most correct. A value of "Neither" should only be used if neither of the job categorizations make sense based on the descriptions below. There are 2,168 rows of data to annotate which need to all be completed.

You have nine options of functions to choose from:

Sales - people who are actively selling a company's product, generating leads, managing existing customers, running sales operations, or otherwise supporting the sales process.

IT - internally facing technology professionals focused on enterprise architecture, technical support for the company, cyber security, data management, business intelligence, and data management for the company. This does not include software engineers who are building external products.

Engineer - technical resources focused on building data pipelines, externally facing software products, cloud systems, QA resources, data scientists, machine learning engineers, machine learning scientists, DevOps, MLOps and other high tech individuals. These are typically more modern skill sets than what you would find in the IT group

Product - these are people who design and sell the products the companies make - product owners, product managers, product marketing, product designers, UX/UI professionals, product analysts, and any other role that is focused on what the product it is, how it should work, and how to market it

Marketing - anyone with marketing in their title who is not a product marketer, content creators, digital marketers, social media managers, brand managers, and anyone else who is responsible for the company's marketing strategy, operations, and execution

Admin - anyone focused on administrative work in the company including legal, human resources / capital, recruiting, all executive assistants / secretaries, contract management, compliance and regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, and any other administrative work for the internal workings of the company

Operations - focus on strategy and operations of the company, including supply chain, quality assurance for physical products, manufacturing, process improvement, project management, strategy associates and consultants, innovation, sustainability, operational efficiency and any other strategic or operational initiatives for the internal workings of the company

Scientist - any researcher or scientist (not including data scientists or machine learning scientists) who work in the company focused on new breakthroughs from a technological or research perspective. This does include machine learning researchers, AI researchers, AI scientists, or others focused on developing new technology, not just applying existing technology to new problems (those would fall under engineering). This also includes scientists focused on chemistry, biology, or any classical definition of a scientist focused on R&D.

Finance - any accounting or finance professionals in an organization focused on M&A, internal financial reporting, investor relations, cash management, treasury, accounting, audit, tax, risk management, and any other financial or accounting focused roles

    Still working on it. An observation is that not all rows under JOB_CATEGORY_INTERNAL have values. So in this case, it will now be decided by the column REFINED_JOB_CATEGORY.

      Working ongoing. And will provide you with perfect automated tool to give correct classification for each job title. Regardless that there are some duplicated job titles but I am working on this issue as well to give you the best fit classification based on prior jobs as a secondary search key word. . Just hold on to see my tool please before closing the contest ?
