When you join this Game of Thrones contest, you win or you don’t.
Are you a solid GoT fan? Before the Season 5 premiere, we want to know what you’re excited about in the upcoming season.
1. Pick a scene, a character, or an event you’re looking forward to see on this season from the released trailers and sneak peeks.
2. Create a digital illustration of what you've chosen in step 1.
3. In your description, tell us why you’re excited about that then attach the link of the trailer or clip where you based your illustration.
The winning entry will be selected based on creativity and cool factor. Aside from the winner, there will be 5 runners-up who will get $100 each.

Hello, I am also sick and tired of other people hacking their way into 5 star entries. I have spent over 40 hours doing those four posters, unlike others who only submitted one, built from the ground, with a unique an original idea. My style is minimalism but it shouldn't be confused with simplisim. I hope you take the right amount of time to verify the amount of work and effort put into the entries and judge accordingly. Thank you.

lol, spend all day thinking of a better answer...couldnt :D While on the subject, almost none read the brief and almost none acted accordingly. It seems like it doesnt matter. Like skills dont matter anymore here, sigh, time to find a real job :S They all told me I was gonna end up in McDonalds....

For the idiots posting above: Illustration doesn't necessarily mean put all kinds of colors and shades, objects and surfaces, emotions and postures, all into one poster. Minimalism is still part of illustration last I checked.

I have been following this contest from start...and honestly no matter what decision the contest holder will make more then half of the contestants will be objecting on it. All people need is justification and that just to tell that the justification isnt justified.

When a person holds a contest its their decision and the result depends on their perception of what they like. Its not necessary that only complicated illustrations are better or the people who spent hours on their illustrations need to be on the top. Sometimes you do lot of effort but dont produce something that appeals to contest holder. Accept that the decision is of the contest holder and you should all respect that.

Though I am fully satisfied with my piece and that alone makes me feel as if I've accomplished my goal, I feel insulted by the improper manners we meet in exchange of our works. If any of you doubts my work you can see it yourselves: #191 , compare it to #132 and if you feel like it, compare both to the poor screenshot portraits, that fail to meet the topic's description and yet have 5 stars. Obviously that contest is a hoax or a rude joke with the art society. Not surprising since we got used to see the same from both Deviantart and even Blizzard entertainment ...

I understand your confusion now, although there are 15 man hours of refining between the 2 paintings. 191 is the final piece. 132 notes in the comment that it is just a stage meant to keep the interest up. Open them both -one should be much more detailed than the other.

At first I had both entries rated low, then I had them rated with 5 stars once I posted my final version this morning. Now my finished work is with 1 star again and my sketch is with 5...Now, most of you don't really have the right to complain since 80% of the works are a photo+filter. I on the other hand, alongside a few of the other freelancers, took the time to make a professional entry. I kept the topic in mind, sketched it, included storytelling, changed my piece once I noticed the trend and spend good 30+ hours rendering. and submitted what I, as a professional artist, would call a worthy entry.
