I'm on the board of a garden club and we have to vote on changes and I need choices. We are in Arizona, but I hate images of saguaro cacti. I would like a standing old fashioned wooden frame chalkboard with SUN LAKES GARDEN CLUB written in white chalk within the curved ribbon, like the old fashioned pumpkin photo I submitted. My favorite entries so far have terra cotta and green colors. I'll have to go back and look at your names. I'd like a version that has the tag line "Growing Gardens" ..... Growing Friendships". Which tag line do you all like the best?

I was thinking of our name curved (arched) across the top of a standing black chalkboard in old fashioned or like chalkboard style font and sitting on the ground. In front of the standing chalkboard on the ground in front could be a terra cotta pot with a cute little round barrel cactus, and a tall tomato cage to the side and a rose bush in another pot. Maybe some small square boxes of herbs around them. with some wispy little parsley like plants.
I was thinking that the 2 part tag line "Cultivating Gardens" .....Cultivating Friendships would need to be below the curved ribbon above, with our club name, so the plants would need to be scattered around the ground in front of the vertical or horizontal blackboard wooden easel so they don't cover the words. We need to be able to put the final art on poster board, on our club "Thank You" notes and maybe on a sandwich board type sign out in the street in front, for our meetings. script needs to be rather old fashioned but it can't be too difficult to read. It should look hand painted with brush strokes if possible like the pumpkin art style I submitted here. Not like a cartoon, but not sophisticated either. A bit old fashioned, country or a bit of whimsy. I think I'm asking too much. :>( I appreciate all of your efforts and I extended for a few more days. My board meeting is Tuesday morning, so I'll be voting on Tuesday before the extension of time expires. Can you all see the pumpkin style photo I submitted? It says it uploaded but I'm not seeing it yet.

  This would be used for a 22 x 30 approx. poster at the door of the meeting room and also it would be reduced to be used on "Thank You" notes to speakers. Steve D. Is the closest to what I have in mind, but I don't need a person in it, since most members are older than me and I don't want to see a gray-haired lady on it.

I said that I'd like to end this contest in 2 weeks but I'm wondering if I should have made it longer because I need to have the club members vote on their favorite tag line and sign at our Tuesday September 18th meeting. Would I be able to print out all of the entries and list them for the vote before awarding the $50 or does the $50 get awarded on the 14th day? I really want our club to change their boring look and I'm eager to see what ideas we'll have to do that. Thanks for entering the contest!
