  Thank you for your entry, and your multiple versions, but I have decided on another fine piece of work as the winner, based upon feedback from my friends, family, and publisher. I can't thank you enough for participating.

  Thank you for all you entries. You've nailed the flags, pole, and clenched fist. I also like how you experimented with the fonts and lettering. in order to get this right, the background needs to be more suggestive of WW2. None of these are resonant. "World on fire" kind of things would be more in order, no mountainous terrain or pretty hillsides. Let's see if we can get those in.
