this brochure will be used to help elderly care centers to understand the benefits of letting us come and perform genetic testing for cancer on their patients.

New Genetic Testing for Cancer in DNA

What the test WILL tell you:
- This test will tell you if you have increased risk for one or more of 32 gene mutations that cause cancer
- This test will tell you if any past cancer that you had was genetic or envrionmental
- This test will tell you how likely it is that your past cancer will return
- This test will tell you how likely you are to pass on cancer genes to your children

What the test will NOT tell you:
- This test will not tell you if you have cancer
- This test will not tell you if you will get cancer

NO COST
- We will not perform the test if your insurance does not cover 100% of the cost
- The patient will not receive a bill for this test
- The patient will not pay a co-pay for this test

CONFIDENTIAL
- Your doctor will not see the results of this test
- Your insurance company will not see the results of this test
- You and your genetic counselors will be the ONLY ones to see the test results

It is against federal law to deny insurance or benefits based on a genetic test
