I'm a web developer and designer, focusing my work on providing web-development and other support services for WordPress based websites. I've been doing this work for more than ten years and bring a wide variety of experience to the table in every decision that I make for clients. My skills also include management of most hosting for small to medium sized businesses, including single-node Linux VPS servers hosting WordPress websites. I can approach WordPress tasks ranging from basic theme and plugin configuration, specialized theme and plugin development, custom post types for content structuring, complex configuration of industry-standard solutions to common business website needs, performance tuning, and the design and development of custom software solutions using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, Javascript, including the integration of WordPress with more flexible Linux based scripting when necessary. My undergraduate education was a BFA in Art, concentrating in design, with minors in Computer Science, Math, and English, and had a previous career as a business software developer for the Windows desktop environment. Because of my broad liberal arts education and in visual design, combined with thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of computer science, I'm able to easily communicate both technical and design concepts with clients, at whatever their current level of understanding is.
