Hi, I'm Den. I started coding in vanilla PHP when I started working with my current employer until I switched to Ruby programming and then it became my primary language. Now, I work as a Ruby on Rails Developer here in the Philippines for about 8 years. I mostly do the backend side of our local Food & Grocery Delivery here in the Philippines. Being a Software Developer, I encountered many challenges, including scaling the servers due to the high volume of traffic, performance issues, slow queries and response time, infrastructure security, and many more. It's not easy at first, but as an optimistic person, I overcame those technical challenges. I use Docker Swarm and Kubernetes for scaling and managing servers, optimizing slow queries and response time by solving N + 1 queries, running the complex jobs in the background using Resque and DelayedJob, and etc. Working with Ruby on Rails and writing unit tests while adhering to SOLID principles and other software design patterns is something I've done professionally. NodeJS, ReactJS, and a few more web technologies are among those I am familiar with. Aside from coding/programming, I also do project management using agile methodology which means, I take care of the project deadlines and timelines to meet the client's goal.
