I possess over 26 years of administrative assistant experience in an office setting. The past twenty two years my administrative experience has been in a medical and hospital setting. Duties include providing general clerical support in nature that encompasses a variety of different duties and responsibilities, performs, typing, office automation duties, acquisition and procurement of materials, supplies and services, data transcription, independently transcribes, collates materials in final form with responsibility for format, word usage and grammar, secures information on unfamiliar medical terminology and in assembling material, transcribes from dictation or written documents, utilizes knowledge of medical terminology both in verbal and written expression to prepare minutes, reports and documents in a clinical service, performs verbatim transcripts of common and specialized terminology, organizes, composes and transcribes a final draft of the monthly committee minutes with the appropriate grammar, punctuation and format, executes the coordination of recordings, distribution of minutes and any other documents among committee members, transcription of committee minutes and other documents, uses software applications, such as MS Word to execute several office automation functions, such as storing and retrieving electronic documents or files, activating printers, inserting and deleting text; formatting letters; reports and memoranda, and transmitting and receiving e-mail. Uses MS Excel to develop and change spreadsheets in order to graphically display' data, uses PowerPoint to develop presentation materials.
