Welcome to the Quick Start to ZBrush, a series of specially constructed courses meant to be followed in sequence and which include valuable exercises to reinforce learned concepts. The lesson format for these Quick Starts will be similar to other Digital-Tutors introductory training. We'll go through ZBrush in a very methodical, step-by-step, way, making sure to cover the tools and techniques that are most important in enabling you to get up and running quickly. Each volume of a Quick Start will build upon the previous volume, enabling us to progressively build up a complex project into a finished state.

In volume 5 of Quick Start to Modeling in 3ds Max, we'll begin reinforcing all of the concepts, tools and techniques from the previous levels and create a complete character. We'll also cover how to begin blocking in specific details of our model by creating some advanced control loops that will be crucial for proper deformation of an animated character. We'll cover how to break down the large task of modeling a character's body, head, hair and accessories. At the conclusion of this volume we'll have a finished character model that can be used in a narrative scene.
