We have a need to open up a specific file type: .SF files
They are produced by a software called "Argus Valuation DCF Software"
Step 1
Can the file be read or is it locked down in some way?
Step 2
Begin to convert the contents into XML, based on whatever data format is in the file.
This project only covers the first step of figuring out IF the contents can be read - and the beginning of saving it off into XML.
A second larger project would follow complete with full data conversion, file upload, a web interface, etc.
A couple example .sf files have been attached, let us know if you can handle this.
I hold a PhD in Cognitive Science and I have some experience with encryption algorithms. I will need to see the original data as it appears in the software. Then I will try to find a function that takes the data in .sf format and recovers the original data.
