We look to improve the website performance of our woocommerce shop [url removed, login to view] for customers in mainland China. We do not have a Chinese ICP license, which means we must host outside china. We are currently hosted with AWS in Singapore.
We used speedtest by google and webpagestes and did some optimization (images, lazyload, combine JS requests, etc). We would like to improve time to first byte, especially from china (currently >5seconds, see waterfall: [url removed, login to view])
We used cloudflare as CDN but found out that they delivered the site from the USA to our chinese customers. We want to decide if another CDN should be used or the entire page should be directly delivered from AWS in Singapore.
Our aim is to ensure a reliable and performant infrastructure for our Chinese customers. We are also interested in optimizing of frontend performance - especially improve the load order above the fold and time to visually complete. This depends on the effort required for optimization.
The project milestones will be directly linked to performance improvements. If there is no imporvement in the site's performance or if the suggested actions are not feasible, then there will be no release of the payment. (This is regardless of the review and feedback given). For this we need to agree on a test where we can measure the improvement.
Depending on the success of the actions taken, we are ready to pay up to 250 EUR for this project. We need to agree on the steps and the timeline beforehand, in order to prevent misunderstandings.
