First of all, I will look at the RSS provider document for special port for retrieving the feed. Normally, the the ports to retrieve the feed is 80 or 443, depends on the protocol. Then, will check and fix the firewall settings of the instance.

I manage servers at work and should be able to fix the firewall issue relatively quickly. I can jump onto the issue right away for you. All I would need are access details to view the issue.
