This role would entail handling/filtering emails, data entry, research, managing calendar, etc. This is not a highly structured role - needs to be someone who has good judgement, and is comfortable with autonomy. I am the education director for a Summer Camp that teaches public speaking and debate ([login to view URL]). A lot of the emails and scheduling will involve hiring interviews, summer camp registration logistics, etc. Please answer the following questions when submitting a proposal: What past project or job have you had that is most like this one and why? What past project or job have you had that is most like this one and why? - I worked for a Canada-based company as an email and chat support specialist. I replied to emails and provided information based on my previous training. The job was also not very well structured at first. During a couple of weeks, I get questions that I don't have an answer to and I escalate it to my manager. Over time, I was able to fully understand the ins and outs of the business and worked with minimum to zero supervision. I also managed their calendar using BookthatApp. Also, my tasks expanded to cover other areas, including processing prepaid shipping labels for returns and getting more Facebook like. What are the first five important things you would do if hired for this role? 1. Fully understand the business 2. Identify the areas where I can be of most help to you 3. Identify the best tools available online that I can use to perform the job easily and efficiently 4. Help create a process to make the project more structured 5. Prove that I am the best person for the job. :) What traits should I be looking for in a personal assistant? Reliable, can work well under pressure, requires minimal to zero supervision, confident in making decisions, result-oriented, have above average communication skills, and knowledgeable. What are your favorite books? Tuesdays with Morrie and How to Kill a Mockingbird.

A: I was the National Youth Director of a large christian denomination here in the Philippines. I was in that position where all the tasks you listed (handling/filtering emails, data entry, research, managing calendar, etc.) were a daily routine. Q: What are the first five important things you would do if hired for this role? A: Well, you have listed 1) handling/filtering emails, 2) data entry, 3) research, 4) managing calendar, 5) etc. --- whatever these are. What past project or job have you had that is most like this one and why? I have been a customer service agent for 6 years and call center supervisor/assistant manager for 4+ years. I'm confident that I can deliver results because I have worked with several campaigns like Sprint, Telstra, T-mobile UK and Comcast - these accounts taught me to be patient and flexible. Customer service job have also made me proficient in typing, high-familiarity in excel/spreadsheets or any admin work that needs to be done. What are the first five important things you would do if hired for this role? 1. Set expectations with my employer so that we can have a harmononious work relationship. 2. Hi there! I am very interested in this position. I have extensive customer service experience through phone and email. I own and run my own business so I am very self-motivated and don't have to be structured to be productive. I worked in the International HR dept of a large corporation for many years so I have interviewing experience as well. The job I just mentioned is the most like the job that you are describing in that it required lots of emailing and HR functions. My geographic areas were Europe and Asia and I handled them remotely from the US. The first five things that I would do in this position would be to: 1. Get a clear idea of the job functions and expectations. 2. Map out a weekly routine for handling the responsibilities. 3. Make sure that all necessary equipment and resources are in place. 4. Build a rapport with my manager. 5. Ensure that my manager is confident in my ability to handle the tasks. The traits that are important, in my opinion, are trustworthiness, attention to detail, amazing customer service, a sense of urgency and self motivation. My favorite books are: The Outlander Series, Girl, Wash Your Face, The Alchemist, The Greatest Salesman in the World and Daring Greatly. Thank you for considering me for this position. Hi there. I was the temporary director of a school for a period of 6 months. During that period of time, I was in charge of organizing the calendar for the whole school year, of meeting with parents to deal with different issues, of receiving parents interested in enrolling their children in school, of managing the social networks of the school, etc. The work that you are offering involves the execution of an established program. Five important things: Get to know deeply the program for the summer camp Make a list of students with names, date of birth, allergies, parents names, contact info and others in an xls file Assess the quantity of teachers you already have to see if it will be necessary to contract more. Prepare a list for the logistics process and progress. Prepare evaluation forms. The personal assistance you are looking for needs to be organized, comfortable using social networks, good communication skills and outgoing. Hello, My name is Dale, a filipino currently based in Australia. Just a quick background of my experiences, I have been a virtual assistant for an Australian Photographer where managing online inquiries, organizing appointments and travel bookings are just a few of my job roles. I also have an experience as an Academic Content Writer for univeristy students in Hong Kong. First five things that I would do if I will be the chosen candidate for this role is to establish a good working relationship with you (i know this could be a process but for me, it is important to build trust with each other), immerse myself to the nature of the job, understand the ins and outs of every tasks, ask as many questions as possible to get a glimpse of the job responsibilities and secure that every task was done accurately and efficiently. I think to be a successful candidate, one should be responsible, willing to learn new things and committed. These three traits if worked together, could be an effective tool to establish a long lasting working relationship with the employer and the personal assistant. I believe I have all of these qualities. Every since I was young, I really love reading “the little prince”. I consider it as my comfort book. Hi there! I am a young professional living in Illinois. I am currently a full-time student and working my way into Business Marketing. Here are your answers: 1) I have helped my father run his business of Transportation by inputting data (money/trip, county payments, hospital info, etc.) into excel and google sheets. It was helpful for me to understand more about both of these programs and helpful for him. It was one less roll he had to do since he is the Owner/Operator. 2) Learn - I like to know as much information as possible to make sure I do absolutely everything correctly. Organize - I am a crazy organize-oriented person. It may not always be the traditional way, but I know what organizational skills I own. I am also open to organizing in different ways taught to me! Talk - I like to know that people know the kind of person I am. Engage - Becoming familiar with my duties is easy for me but important. Listen - I want to know your likes/dislikes, interests, hobbies, and preferences to better my abilities to help you. 3) The traits you need in an assistant are those of someone who can organize, be available when you need them, listen intently, respond in an appropriate manner, and be professional in everything they do - they do represent you after all. 4) My favorite books are Where the Sidewalk Ends (my father read these stories to me all the time as a kid) and Working Stiff by Judy Meinek, M.D. and T.J.
