splunk logs (2 of them into splunk)

Need to get two logs started in Splunk and 5 to 10 minutes of your time to show me or review? These are the two logs that I need to get into Splunk; please recommend what else is needed? /var/log/[login to view URL] /var/log/syslog Is $10 ok?
