· All the Constants and variables should be declared in the beginning of the StepDef class.
· StepDef file should have single implementation for common functionality like clicking on same button present in different features and scenarios.
· StepDef file should not have blank implementation.

System File and Java Class Standards
· For each screen/Business process/functionality we are automating, we need to create a corresponding Page java class file.
· All the Constants and variables should be declared in the beginning of the class.
· For automating the fields in the page, we first need to wait till the Web Page is loaded completely.
· For validating whether the Web Page is loaded completely or not, we need to call the method ‘waitForPage()’ present in BasePage.java.
· You can increase the wait time in this method if the default time of 60 sec is not sufficient for loading the WebPage.
· Even after using the ‘waitForPage()’ method, if we are still getting exceptions related to the visibility/accessibility of WebElements, use ‘sleepWait()’ method for corresponding WebElements. This method is also present in the BasePage.java. ‘sleepWait()’ method needs to be used as a last resort, if nothing else is working out.
· All the common or reusable components/methods need to be created in Utils java class in the utils folder path.
· All the common or reusable components/methods related to WebElements need to be added in BasePage java class.
· As we are using Excel file approach for test data, all the common or reusable components/methods need to be created in ExcelUtils java class present in utils folder path.
