Before I begin, only REAL freelancers with REAL talent can post that understand the milestones of freelancer.com, I will only pay each milestone as and when they are completed if they fail to be completed to a satisfactory standing I will not payout on that milestone.
No lets begin, this specific project is relating to the Open Document Architecture or ODA, I am part of huge team developing an incredibly complex system, however as part of this system some features require documents other then ODT get converted to ODT, we already have the hardware and software to do that.
Once converted this is where it gets sticky, we need more understanding of the ODA specifically how we can open, view and edit them programatically in any language, we know that the ODA is a zip file containing XML like structure but that is about all we know.
This job is simply explaining the ODA and how a program can utilize it to create, read, update and save documents within the ODA based architecture, all programatically, of course a user inteface will be developed there after testing.
A report will need to be produced after the conversation which details everything there is about ODA and all file formats associated with it.
I hope you all understand and will look forward to your replies.
Full time professional XML freelancer. ODT is a zip file that contains XML like files and structure inside, similar to DOTX for office. I am very familiar with both formats and have developed a number of XSLT solutions working with the formats
ODA however is a document format that predates XML by at least 10 years. (I am old enough to know) Some 25 years ago we had to evaluate teh use of SGML (the father of XML) against the virtues of ODA. We choose SGML (as did the world) and I haven been working on SGML and XML since then.
ITU has tools available... I think I can help you with that
Good afternoon! Could you explain, please, what does it means - "This job is simply explaining the ODA". Why I'm asking.. The ODA is described in detail at a list of standards - ISO 8613 (structure, architecture, etc.), ISO 10183-2 (testing methodology), ISO 9646 (open systems data exchange ??), and some additional papers like ISO 11181-1 describing raster&vector graphics. Thank you.
