Web scraping scripts written in Python 2.7 to scrape data from websites and output them as JSON. This will be a long term job as there will need to be updates (when the websites change for example) or new websites need to be scraped. The specification: - Taking a e-shop style website. - Extract the unique categories, these may be nested eg. Home > Furniture > Tables - Scrape the category pages identifying unique products and variations eg: { product_brand: "Acme", product_id: 435, product_name: "Round Table", category_id: 89, category_name: "Tables", variations: [ { sku: "5235-2129-392", name: "Black Round Table", color: "Black", photos: [ '[login to view URL]', '[login to view URL]' ] }, { sku: "5235-2129-396", name: "Red Round Table", color: "Red", photos: [ '[login to view URL]', '[login to view URL]' ] } } - Must be written in Python 2.7 using only the [login to view URL] and requests libraries. - When applying for this job please use the word "freedom" in a sentence to prove you have read the specification. - Applicants may be asked to show previous work and code.
