I have designed a similar system for a construction company for a smart home setup. We have our own firmware for sonoff which will be flashed onto the board once done we will connect the board to our IOT cloud based on Http or mqtt. A dashboard will be provided with login creditials where you can manage all your devices. I been working on IOT services and products related products for quite a while now.
