Actually it is a great Wordpress plugin but it can be coded in pure PHP.
I will use the tool to index multiple RSS-Sources and update them regualar. And filtert hem by keyword
Required Features
1. Add a new RSS feed source to Database.
2. The script get the RSS feed elements and save them in Database, like Headline, Text, Medias, URL …
3. There is a possibility to get the Picture URL of the target page / or a picture containing in the feed.
4. Possibility to get newer posts oft he feed each x hours. Only put new RSS entrys to database.
5. Filter the database by Keword
